Event Information

12:00am Wednesday, May 04, 2016 to 12:00am Saturday, May 07, 2016

Our Bay-Waveland Women Build, in partnership with Lowe's during National Women Build Week, will be a four day event where women are welcome to volunteer for a half day, one day or more. It's an opportunity to come together with other women and advocate for decent, affordable housing for low-income families in their communities and around the world as families with children make up a staggering number of those in need of adequate housing. Interested in building with us? It’s always an event with lots of fun, food, and prizes and hard but satisfying work!

Call up your girlfriends to have fun, help a family and feel good!  That being said, we welcome male volunteers as well, so you can sign up the guys if you want to!

We will be renovating a home in Hancock County. We'll meet at the job site, 6221 West Forrest Street, Bay St. Louis (Bayside Park). 9:00 a.m. is our start time, lunch will be served and we will end our work day at 3:00 p.m. Wear close-toed shoes, bug spray and sunscreen is a good idea as are gloves. Water will be provided and we suggest that you bring a personal water bottle to cut down on our paper waste. We'll have event t-shirts for you and a spot to change,  as we would like everyone to be "official Women Build volunteers!"

Suggested donation of $20 includes supplies, tools, instruction, lunch and t-shirt. Door prizes will be awarded daily from local vendors!

If you can't build with us but would like to support this year's build and help with the funds we need for construction, please donate now! We'll recognize your contribution as a full fledged supporter of the cause!

Habitat for Humanity Bay-Waveland is one of more than 300 Habitat organizations nationwide hosting Women Build projects with support from Lowe's, a longtime partner in the event.

This year, Lowe's contributed $2 million to National Women Build Week. Since its partnership began in 2003, Lowe's has committed more than $63 million to Habitat for Humanity and helped nearly 5,500 families improve their living conditions.
